HOW TO MEASURE SHIRTS

Shirt-guide

Shoulder: Measure from where the shoulder seam meets the sleeve on one side, straight across to the other side.

Chest: Lay the garment flat. Measure from the bottom of one armhole seam, straight across to the other. Double this measurement for the full chest circumference.

Length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (where the collar meets the seam) down to the bottom hem.

Waist: Lay the garment flat and measure across the narrowest part of the torso. Double this measurement for the full waist.

HOW TO MEASURE PANTS

Waist: Measure straight across the top of the waistband, from edge to edge. Double this measurement for your waist size.

Hip: Lay the pants flat and measure across the widest part of the hips, typically just below the zipper. Double this measurement.

Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam straight down the inside of the leg to the bottom of the hem.

Pro Tips for Accurate Measurement

  • For best results, measure a similar, well-fitting garment from your own wardrobe.
  • Lay the garment on a flat, hard surface to avoid stretching.
  • Use a flexible measuring tape for accuracy.
  • When in doubt, it’s often better to size up for a more comfortable fit.
